5 x 50 - The Maximus line of Diamond Crown cigars was created to offer a fuller-bodied version of JC Newman’s famed Diamond Crown line. Made with an Ecuadorian sun grown wrapper from the Oliva family’s farm in the El Bajo region, this fine cigar is rolled with filler and binder from the Fuentes in the Dominican Republic. Limited in production, this aged cigar offers a fuller bodied cigar for today’s market. Slight hints of chocolate accompanied the prelight draw. The sungrown wrapper seems to have become more popular in recent years and this vitola did not disappoint. This spicy little number had a nice even burn and held a very firm ash for the first inch or so. The volume of smoke was consistent all the way down to the nub.
